Czech/English - Nicota/Void

This is one of the very few poems I actually wrote in Czech first, and so I will put the Czech version 1st and the English 2nd. The English version is also one of the poems in "Shadows on the Carpet" section 3 - 'Lunacy'.

NICOTA

Stojím v stínu měsíce,

bez duše,  bez srdce.

Není iluze,

není sen,

není naděje.

Jen před očima temno

a pod nohama střepy

VOID

Standing in the shadow of the moon,

Without a heart,  without a soul,

There is no illusion,

There is no dream,

There is no hope,

Darkness before my eyes,

Shattered pieces beneath my feet.

Shadows on the Carpet - Section 6 - Torment

Today I am sharing a poem from the 6th section of my manuscript - Torment.  The poem title is Torment as well.

TORMENT

In the middle of

The wilderness

Between the slivers

Of moonlight

Filtering through the

Camouflage of trees

Almost naked

They stood

Baring their souls

In the vortex

Of the simulated

Howling of the wind

Tethered to unseen

Anchors by invisible

Filaments of other lives

Almost touching

They stood

Palpably close

Two

Broken

Hearts

Over me

The blue of

Missing you

Cuts into

My heart and

Leaves blue-black

Scars on my

Tortured soul

Modrá přelévá se přese mě
Ten modrý stesk po tobě
promítne se do mého srdce
A zanechává modro-černé jizvy
na mé utrýzněné duši
