English/Czech poem Alone/Osamělá

This is the last poem that I have managed to translate.  I will resume translating more of my poems into Czech after the holidays.  I originally wrote this poem in 1967.

ALONE

The wind

howled

I felt a surge

of emotion

rush

through me

Leaves crackled

underfoot

Trees

reached

for me

Autumn

echoed

in every

woebegone

niche

As I

broke

into

a run

Vítr kvílí

Cítím se

prorostlá

Listí

pod nohama

šustí

Stromy

vztahují

ke mně své paže

A já

cítím podzim

v každém

zanedbalém výklenku

A dávám se

do běhu

Showering leaves

Shaken from trees

In a slight breeze

On a moody afternoon

English/Czech - Fall Softly/Listopad

Just finished translating this poem the other day - couldn't do an exact translation but it's close enough.

Fall Softly

As the heavens wept

Autumn leaves tattooed

Delicate pale

Impressions of fall

Softly on my soul
